Senseless

Today is a shocking and terribly sad day for two families. One has a child that was murdered in cold blood while the other has a child that is facing the consequences of the crime. All happened in a school compound, on a school day.

I never imagined this kind of situation will happen in Singapore, but it did. Why? How much hatred can a young person harbour to want to harm people in such a manner? 

I always believe that everyone needs a listening ear as and when, an outlet to let out the steam, a shoulder to cry or lean on. Will the tragedy be prevented if there is someone he can approach or talk to? 

I hope we can all be kinder to each other, more patience with one another, and the strength to forgive others. My prays for both of them.
