Tien 1st attempt on jumps

Oh, her jumps were so funny and adorable! Wished I could capture those moments, but she was not very cooperative on photos taking ever since she could walk. She would squat down a little, and uses all her mighty power to push herself upwards. Though she didn't really had her feet lifted off the ground, but she did have that jumping up effect. Good job, tien tien!

My boy on adver!

Not trying to promote the school here, but just simply because I love the picture the school took for him. It was taken shortly after he joined. Think he was no older than 20 months. Looked so different then, like an angel!

Am I alone?

To raise a child is never easy. To raise a child to become someone you hope he will become is even tougher. And whenever I'm facing an obstacle in parenting, I always ask myself this question: Am I alone? From other mommy blogs, I found my answer. By reading others' mommy blog, I found encouragement, a sense of company. Here's some things about Eu, which so often trigger my dispair question:

1)A new-born that slept less than 14 hrs per day
2)Once he starts to cry, there is NO way to make him stop
3)Just like to cry, for no reason at all
4)Still cannot communicate very well by the time he reached 3
5)Cannot keep still for more than 5 mins
6)Short concentration time span
7)Will throw himself on the floor when having tantrum episodes
8)Refuse to poo in potty or toilet
9)Refuse to eat greens

The list can go on to more than 100, but I know, I'm not alone.

Comments by abc#@$&123!?

Lately a couple of mommy blogs have required some kind of verification before posting comments, probably due to some uncalled for comments. Thought I should be safe from all these irritating stuff, I'm neither well known nor popular anyway. HA! Got four of those stupid comments at one go today. Oh my!

That's Annoying

We went to the fair on Sunday

It was a charity fair for a Buddhist society, and thought it will be good fun for the children. Well, turned out not as fun as I had in mind. It was packed with thousands of people! Everyone was squeezed like sardines. Eu was perspiring like a water tap after walking down one lane, and started crying due to the heat. Okay, everyone will just chilled out in the open space while mommy transformed into a shopping warrior. Here's some stuffs I got after much effort:

Flower balloon for Tien, magnetic doodle pad, VCDs and Doraemon stickers for Eu.

Papa getting real impatient waiting (pic took by Eu).

Some nonsense pictures taken by Eu, while waiting for me.

Tien was the most sporting, still happy and running around with balloon in hand, even after we were back home.

Nice baby snack (but damn difficult to find!)

I'm talking about the plain cheerios. Was introduced to this finger food in huileng's blog. Found it interesting and wanted to buy a box for Tien. Finally got it after two weeks of hunting. The purchase time for the second box was close to a month due to sold out and had to wait for the next shipment. After this second experience, I have decided not to waste time running around all the cold storage and market place in Singapore. Just call up one of the cold storage that carries the cereal (not all branches do), and ask if they have stock. Will do that when I need to buy my number three box.

Peer's acceptance

One day, on the way home after fetching Eu from school, we passed by this traffic junction with faulty traffic lights, and had this conversation:

Eu: Favourite Ray
Me: No, it should be Ray's favourite (I knew what he was trying to say).
Eu: NO! Favourite Ray!
Me: BB, mommy is trying to teach you to talk correctly. It should be RAY's FAVOURITE, NOT favourite Ray.
Eu: (already shouting while I'm preaching) Favourite Ray, favourite Ray,.........
Me: (running out of patience) BB, you can continue saying that, but it's wrong and your classmates are going to laugh at you. You want that?
Eu: (immediately) Ray's favourite?

The power of peer's acceptance!
