What a day!
Yesterday was definitely not the kind of day I like or wish for. I fell asleep while trying to put Eu to nap. I do not know what caused me to jerk suddenly and I was awake, seeing Eu standing tip toeing on the air-con piping ledge, with his head peering out of the wide open window! I quickly walk over to him calmly in order not to startle him. I sensed something was amissed, and thought he had dropped something out of the window. He started throwing tantrum when I asked what happened. Then I saw the nasty cut on his right eyelid. Just a little lower, it would have been his eye. If only I had stayed awake, this will not have happened. While comforting him, I really feel myself blessed, as something more dreadful could have happened.
Next came Tien's crying. She was trying very hard to poo. The poo was stuck. I tried with my hands, but the poo just crumbled at my every attempt. I was at the end of my wits, helpless. She finally had the poo out after about half an hour of ordeal. Alright, back to the same old milk powder. I rather have a happy overweight baby then a constipated crying one.

Any poo today?
Tien has not been pooing daily recently. The last time she poo was two days ago, which had been accumulated for three solid days. There could be a couple of reasons to that, and I'm figuring which is the trouble maker. She had her milk powder changed about a week ago. Didn't want her to drink those formulated for 12 months and below. Worried that it will be too nutritious for her. She had already exceed the plot area of her health booklet. I'm hoping it's those medicine that's causing the constipation. She had been on antibiotics for her sore throat, cough and running nose. Let's see if the poo-poo routine will go back to normal once she recovers from her illness.

Tien's 1st birthday pics!
Finally, I managed to post this important little step of Tien, which happened about a month ago. Here's the full album: Tien's B Day photos

Relaxing and having birthday cake at home, on the actual day.

Had lunch with immediate family members at HRC the next day.
Went for a short getaway the following day to PD.

Walking on my own
Tien started walking independently, without any support, on Aug 5, which was about 2 weeks over her 1st birthday. Though she only managed to do a couple of steps and in super fast motion, the father and I were thrill. Eu started to walk only at 18 months. After a week of practice, she was more stable and could turn herself around without much problem!
She balanced herself by waving her hands in mid-air.

A week later......
Now I can walk to big bro anytime I like!

Eu's school progress
It's been two weeks now, since he transferred from N1 to N2. He seems happy with the shift and the teachers feedback was good. Hopefully he will be able to catch up all the necessary skills needed to enter into K1 smoothly. It has been tremendous stress for me, as a mother, to decide on the level (and fate) he should enter in pre-school. On one hand, I do not want to put pressure on him, while on the other, I'm worried that he is tagging way behind children younger of his age. This had been a dilemma I faced until I found out from this year primary one registration website, he DOES NOT HAVE a choice which year to enter primary one. I freak out totally! I had made a terrible mistake by retaining him in N1 (much to the pre-school advice) this year! Informed the class teachers and the principal and they had him transfer out immediately. Luckily there was vacancy, phew!

1st trip to supermarket for Eu (without parents)
The school brought the class to the cold storage yesterday. He was given two dollars to shop. Came back with a small pack of chocolate milk and corn flakes. So proud of him. He was happy too! Finished the milk and ate the corn flakes on the way home.

I can't believe I'm doing this
After reading a couple of mommy blogs, think I got some influence too. Maybe I will start off by just posting photos, not so much writing. That should be easy enough (I hope).

Can I have some.....
